Fleabag × Nobody wants this

It's in human nature to compare, we compare, we contrast, we make pros and cons list, it's everywhere. There's no existence without comparison. We weigh happiness, sadness, misery, achievements based on others and this is the reality of our existence. Even when we say don't compare with others, we say compare with your older self. It's comparison at the end that rules. Now I am a die hard fan of Fleabag and the priest. Nothing changes. Even if you ask me which one is better it's Fleabag. Phoebe waller bridge wrote loneliness, unrequited love, sisterhood everything so well that even a hot Rabbi with his fulfilling love can't surpass it. So why I am comparing it when I have already decided what's better ? So it's for the readers. You got to watch Fleabag. You got to watch both the seasons. Don't skip man. And you got to watch this too. So let's start with whats authentic about fleabag. So the Hot priest is not simply a good listener that he lets talkative fleabag take over. He is a yapper. His thoughts are all over the place, jumping up and down talking about foxes that are about to get him to optimism and weddings and pessimism and funerals. The thing that distinguishes him and makes woman crave for him is that he is present and absolutely listens with 100 percent attention. He notices them exactly as they are in the moment without any preemtive assumption or false platitude. And thats why he has to leave, his love is exactly there with fleabag for fleabag. It now belongs to her. He has given it all to her and not even asked her to return it incase her love passes and it's tragic and beautiful and painful, all emotions just crawling past each other, jumping and competing to make the tip of the iceberg.
Now comes "Nobody wants this", believe me it started a little fast. The Hot Rabbi is the person who really exists. He opens car doors, walks you up to the door, talks about issues because he wants to keep you in his life, mentions his "seal the deal" clauses but more as the series proceeds you realise the female protagonist has no such impact. She just exists. They end the season very open endedly with them not breaking up over the conversion and ending the season with a nice kiss and so it means the story is far away from being over, so no commets yet. But as a piece of litterature it's not much. It lacks substance. The sisterhood is well balanced. The parental relationships strained in a little awkward ways. The plot fits. You won't be traumatised. But if you ask me, there's nothing more painful and beautiful about remembering your trauma because it saves you. So in case you want to watch and cry and decipher inner meanings watch Fleabag. But if you want to see a green forest and a cute romance of people who have failed at love many a times watch Nobody wants this.
