Annie Hall
Heard about this movie a long time ago, it was part of an Anupam Roy song. Last month again found this in a cinephile's story, found it today on Amazon prime and decided to watch it. Annie Hall, starring Diane Keaton and Woody Allen. After watching the movie googled some stuff and realised it was the real life love story between the actors that led to this creation and what a mind-blowing number of Oscars. After a long time, I watched a new romantic comedy. For the last few months watching romcoms felt a little lonely but today I got the spark back, the movie was hopeful, realistic, fulfilling and at the same time disheartening. There are certain dialogues that shake you upto your core and make you re-think and re-visit some of your decisions and make you just ponder over them. So I am putting a dialogue from the movie-
And I just realised, it was so true. Most of us, most of the time just need someone out of all differences and commonalities to be there with. No compulsion no choice just a wish and maybe it's for those moments that we stick with those people despite all the times of frustration and disgust and hate and hostility and love which normally gets buried deep down but resurfaces in those moments. I would be watching Manhattan after this. Another Woody Allen movie. It's so long after that I have written a piece. I hope you like it and if you are the kind of person who loves to introspect and extrapolate the stuff you watch go ahead, watch Annie Hall.
