The Medical Compartment
So the day begins with physiology practical exam and so does the beginning of the trip. The long awaited solo trip. I can't emphasise how much alone time I needed to introspect on what's happening in my life. The day would remain iconic forever. I was going away from college for a good one month vacation so I ensured on playing TT for the last one hour. I boarded Rajdhani and was all set to experience the lavishness of First Class for the very first time and shit my co-passengers were all old people. Lol I had thought of probably meeting the love of my life but whatever. But believe me I can't thank my fate enough. That destined compartment. It was like the entire world had conspired for us four to meet. The couple were Retired Aiims Delhi physiology professors. They shared about their love story which blossomed despite the PC-NJ age difference back then. We had a good laugh criticizing the system which we were a part of. They analysed the syllabus and all and told me how to efficiently study and understood the amount of torture the colleges were bestowing upon us. The funniest part she had never heard about DP ( Debasish Pramanik). Then came Asansol and my jethu's friend boarded the train. 1989 NRS batch. Good old times. Academic building was just made. There were two fests every year. Exams were still the same. The senior junior relationship was better. The hierarchy was a little less. Good old times. I had a lot of good sleep after a long time.
Now coming to my flight to Baroda. The woman sitting next to me was a Radiologist. God Grace my luck!!
